Check Your Inbox

Nowadays the world revolves around Facebook...well, sort of. Every single person on this planet that I know has an account, or had one. Even my 7-year-old cousin has an account! When I was her age, all we had was a dinosaur computer with a dial-up connection that makes that static sound while connecting. And we weren't even allowed to be on the computer anytime we want. Oh the good ole' days. It's amazing to see kids nowadays with technologies at the tips of their fingers, literally, with social networking sites such as Facebook connecting people around the world, even those who live closeby. And I really mean closeby, as in right in the next room of one another.

I see feeds on my homepage where a person comments on one of their friend's wall saying "check your inbox." What's the point of telling them to check their inbox? I mean, they have eyes, I'm sure they can see those little numbers in a tiny red square thingy on top of the icons that represents Friend Requests, Messages and Notifications. Seriously, what is the point? If it's a private matter, why make it public by telling that person to check their inbox? Or maybe you just want to attract people's attention to conversations you had with that person? I don't think people actually care, I know I don't. I just think it's super annoying when I see wall posts that says "check your inbox." To tell them to check their email is fine because maybe for some Godforsaken reason they check their Facebook account more than they check their email. Even though it should really be the other way around.

Oh and another thing, if you live literally right next to each other, or is right next to each other when you wrote that comment, why even bother writing that person a message? Why not just get up off your lazy ass and talk like any normal human being? It's not like you're some top secret agent planning an assassination, in which case you wouldn't discuss in Facebook inbox.

Maybe you're just bitching about a person who's in the same room.
